10)story(boards) for the animation idea(s)...Character Designs... 3D Modeling of the set/characters... Rigging... Set layouts... blocking... sound/score... animation... lighting/texture... eternal rendering(unless I can hijack some computers as render minions)---or--- get better at drawing and do it in 2d(though that would be "eternal rendering" as well... *sigh*)
... all while still tending to the needs of 4 kiddos... trying to eat now and then... keep up with current events in media/tech/world news/animation techniques(programs)/web/project management/print/social media/read what I haven't... oh... and somehow draw more and/or take artclasses...

new,...
well, I've been working at my new job for a while now and have been volunteering with the AnimeBanzi Convention here in Utah. I help by working the booth selling AnimeBanzai merchandise. I know no one follows me so I won't ask to stop by and say hi... kinda barking in the dark here. I have been working hard on getting better with 3D modeling, became professionally Certified in 3ds Max! (models to motion) and AutoCAD. Purchased a copy of Manga Studio EX 4.0! yay! it's cool. learned 3D Printing! that's cool... planning on a few cosplay designs,... a homebrew pachinko machine. And.... I have been doing some work on my web comic! not much and not
peaks and valleys
well new job is going ok... not too bad.. not animation or graphic design but... i get to draw stuff... just MCC's and VFD's... Cables... Wires... Schematics... Loop Drawings in accordance with the ISA Standards... If you know what I'm talking about then good on ya... I have a lot of Industrial Instrumentation/Electrical experience and so it was the key to getting this job... and I really need it too... I would have had a hard time drawing a Gate Valve actuator control logic diagram without knowing what an actuator is... and the difference between MOV and a Pnumatic actuator running on an I/P... :D they converted a pnumatic system over to a M
art college...
Ok... I admit it... I never went to college for art... I went to a technical college and studied Multimedia software... I spent my G.I. Bill on learning how to use 3dsMax, Maya, Illustrator, AutoCAD, Unreal 2004 editor, Flash, Director, & Photoshop... The benefit is that I can jump into any software and learn it rather quickly or in a few days if it's different than the norm. I figured this out after I was accepted as a Packaging Designer intern with Boise Packaging using ArtiosCAD. After a few weeks I was teaching my supervisor how to do things with the software he didn't know... while he had been using it for many years...
so,.. my point i
needing a good resume
I have experience in the graphics industry (packaging design mostly) and would like to work in the industry.. I feel I can do the job just fine but need to get more portfolio to showcase... I have been studying css, php, and web design but haven't devised a good site yet that I am proud of. now... how do layout a electrical heavy resume to read like its perfect for a graphic design job?
